Operating Requirements
- For using the atmosphere furnace for the very first time or after a long time, it should be baked at 250℃ to 400℃ for minimum 1 hour. This baking process of furnace saves the chamber from cracks and heating element from breakage.
- Furnace temperature and ramp rate should not exceed the limits of the rated temperature. Higher temperature and ramp rate may damage furnace chamber and heating element. Don’t pour liquid and melted metal inside the furnace, it may damage the chamber. Regularly clean the furnace chamber & never leave oxidized and metal residue inside the chamber.
- Lock the door of the furnace prior vacuuming and heating. Never open the door when temperature is above 400℃, it may damage the chamber and heating element due thermal shock.
- Vacuum Atmosphere furnace is designed to use under vacuum in negative pressure. We don’t recommend to use the machine in positive high pressure. At the time of purging nitrogen, hydrogen & argon gas positive pressure must never exceed 0.02Mpa. High pressure above 0.02 M pa may damage furnace chamber.
- Recommended & designed Ramp rates are 10℃/min for below 1000℃, 5℃/min for 1000 to 1500℃ & 2℃/min for higher temperature range. Exceeding the ramp rate may cause heating element damage.
- Always use cooling down program to cool down the furnace from high temperature range. We don’t suggest to stop the furnace for cooling down process. High temperature furnace working at 1800-1700 degree Celsius follow the cool down program for a ramp rate not exceeding 3℃/min. We advise do not turn off the power of the furnace if temperature above 400℃.
- Maintenance of the electrical connection part of the controller must be in good contact. During transportation and movement of furnace electrical wires to the heating element may be disconnected, so check the connection regularly for the safety of furnace and user.
