WHAT IS TEST SIEVE AND SIEVE ANALYSIS?
Sieve analysis (or grading analysis) is an application or procedure used to determine the particle size distribution of granular materials. This application is carried out by directing the granular material that is being worked on from the sequential screens to the progressive and increasingly dense screen layer.
Size distribution determination is critical in determining the performance of the material in the usage phase. In the sieve analysis application, organic-inorganic granular materials, sand, crushed stone, clay, granite, feldspars, coal, soil, a wide range of produced powders, seeds can be used. Test sieves can reduce the relevant material down to the minimum particle size for the methods to be worked on. Sieve analysis is the most common and simple method used for particle size determination.
Particle size analysis is the operation of studying the distribution of the different grains of a sample, according to their characteristics (weight, size, etc.). Usually, particle size analysis provides the proportions of grains of different diameters; this analysis can be done both by sieving and by sedimentation in water in application of Stokes’ law. Depending on the size and the number of grains making up an aggregate, aggregates are referred to as fines, sands, chippings or pebbles. However, for a given aggregate, all the grains that constitute it do not all have the same size.
For this, the grains are classified on a series of nested mesh Certified Test Sieves. The mesh sizes of the sieves decrease from top to bottom. The granulate is placed on the highest sieve and by vibration, the grains are distributed on the different sieves according to their size. In most cases, analytical sieves are used with a sorting sieve (bottom sieve) made of stainless steel wire mesh with a square mesh. They can classify materials from different sizes.
WHAT IS TEST SIEVES?
The laboratory and industry test sieves are made with brass mesh Test Sieves and stainless steel screens & frames with different mesh sizes. Certified Test Sieves are for The granulometric distribution of grain analysis, particle size analysis, the granular soil materials, sands and boulders, powder sieving, coal testing, is obtained through the process of sieving a sample with safe and accurate results.
